This list of wonderfully witchy projects and services is giving me LIFE!! Though it's not great for my ADHD, as I now have 11 more tabs open in an already-crowded window 😅
Here's my thing: I'm a writerly book-loving certified yoga instructor witch and I started a YouTube series called Book Nerd Yoga where I interview authors while we move through a yoga flow that I've designed based on their books.
This fall, I interviewed AFTERTASTE author Daria Lavelle and we did Floating Ghost pose, among others 👻📚
The next episode drops soon and features Katie Yee, the hilarious author of MAGGIE (a Notable Book of 2025, according to the NYT!). The preview montage for that episode is pretty great, check it out on IG:
We have an interesting discussion about the power of names and the huge responsibility that comes with naming a whole other creature, which is something that some witches might find relatable.
I have three more interviews lined up for next month, including a very exciting Emmy-winning actor/memoirist, so subscribe on YT/follow on IG if this seems like your jam!
I have a tween girl who is in the shower for a million minutes and apparently only manages to shampoo some of her hair. Is convinced i am wrong that you need to scrub about the scalp and she has her dad’s oily hair and scalp!
We are in the exact same boat right now! It's like, what are you doing in there for so long if not properly washing your hair! My hair stylist told me that tweens also have oilier scalps than usual due to puberty/hormones, so that helped me feel a little less mystified. I've had to start having her call me when she's done shampooing so I can check it, then call me again when she's rinsed so I can check it. We did that a few times for a week and it's seemed to help. I feel like I have to be so on top of her hair right now, though! Also teaching her you can't just brush the top layer and be OK with a rat's nest underneath 🙈
All of this yes. All of it. Also not helped that she has straight oily hair and i have very curly dry hair. So no doing what i am doing is not going to work for you.

coming back here to say this totally derailed my morning lol. Just came up for air after reading the whole website and researching how to get there from LA...now to convince my partner it's a good idea 😂

oh yes, it's not just tween/teen boys who are stinky and lack good hygiene!
this makes me feel better. I asked mine to mime for me how he washes his armpits and I wonder if he also uses invisible soap in the shower
I SEE YOU! You are not alone.
So appreciate your generosity Claire to share the work of us witches and I just love seeing all the cool and interesting things people do.
