I’m a NICU doctor and I tell parents all the time, “If there was only one right way, there would be one parenting book instead of a whole aisle of them. You do what works for your family until it stops working (and it probably will) and then you try something else.”
These round ups where we can see different experiences side by side are so helpful. Our pediatrician has six kids, and even when we've seen things differently, I've been glad to know she is coming from a place of real experience. Thank you, Claire!
thank YOU Heidi! I know one of these moms from my kids' school and I already liked her a lot to begin with (the transcript of our call is hilarious--her daughter kept popping out to ask for ideas of things to do) and this made me like her even more!

You sound like a wonderful doc who is very reassuring to parents! <3
BOOM! --"you end up putting parents in this difficult position where there is no right way to do most things in parenting."
this was so interesting!!

Congrats on that attic hideout! Looks like there’s plenty of room for a mini fridge. 😉
