I love a re-delegation text. My parents texted me on two separate occasions this week to remind me I can't clean the litter boxes whilst pregnant, and I said, "seems like something you should text the person who can." So satisfying to send them away.
One of my favorites is my friend who reassured her husband who had a lot of concern about a task she gave him, "I have full faith in you that you can do this."
This is why sometimes I just look at a dirty towel on the floor for a long time and leave it there because if I touch it it will just set off a whole chain reaction
I know this is not the point but never have I been so glad I overrode our contractor's skepticism and insisted on jamming the washing machine into the kitchen.
OMG genius. The last load of laundry was all dirty dog foot/barf towels and napkins and dishtowels, stuff that LIVES in the kitchen but has to go on a little vacation downstairs to get clean.
Currently staying with my brother and have never been more grateful to live in a single storey home (although our laundry is outside... you can throw stuff into the machine (top loader) from the kitchen door 😂). This mornings adventure... let me just prep the entire melon before I make breakfast for me and the baby then that’ll save time later, then I’ll take the baby downstairs for a shower before I clean the high chair, but oh no the 8 year old has blocked the toilet, and there’s a pile of towels that need washing, but I need to hang the wet washing first... guess what, the high chair still isn’t clean 🥴

Oh, the tyranny of the basement.

Doing the minutes "as a treat" made my eyes water.
Laundry, cooking or dishes... the trifecta of “how has my life come to this?”
Is this... is this not just me...
Catching up on Substack but I have never been more seen. Does this mean I have ADHD?? Or am just always thinking of everything we need to do??
no you are just living the dream, having it all!

The highchair will never be clean.
Two sets of stairs is just one too many 😞
